Jerk Shrimp Alfredo

An irresistible super simple dish that only takes 30mins to make.

Boil pasta as usual (al dente; with salt & olive oil)

 

Shrimp/chicken- prepare as usual with your jerk seasoning & other seasonings.

 

Sauce:

Butter

Heavy whipping cream

Shredded Parmesan cheese

Your jerk seasoning

Black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning salt, parsley & Italian seasonings

Brown sugar

In a sauce pan, melt butter on medium heat, throw in diced onions and minced garlic and sauté until onions are translucent. Add in chopped broccoli florets and stir. Then add in some more butter and as it melts pour in your heavy whipping cream and stir around. When the heavy cream just starts to bubble, add in shredded parmesan cheese (just enough to thicken the heavy cream mixture) and stir with a fork until the cheese is fully melted. Turn the fire down to medium low & add in jerk seasoning, about 2-3 pinches  bit of brown sugar & the other dry seasonings to taste.  Stir around until the sauce thickens.

Pour sauce over the  pasta in the pot and mix around until all the pasta is coated in the sauce.

Pour the pasta & sauce mixture into a plate or bowl & top it off with your  meat preference (shrimp or chicken) and garnish with fresh or dry parsley
